Excursion in Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang Sightseeing (L)
Pick up at your hotel in the morning and depart to discover Luang Prabang and in particular Vat May Temple, which was the residence of a Buddhist patriarch before 1975, visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace), and walk up Mount Phousi for an outstanding view over the former Royal capital. Lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon visit Vat Sene, Vat Xieng Thong, considered one of the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang, Vat Visoune built in the 16th century, Vat Aham, one of the city’s major tutelary shines housing the puppets of the Lao ancestors and the Thai Lu village of Ban Phanom. Return to your hotel by the end of the afternoon.
