The Vietnamese trains are the inexpensive, safe and comfortable way to get around and experience Vietnam at ground level.

Travelling by train through the length of the country allows you to become part of the scene rather than remaining a detached onlooker. With the train trips take you from places to places covering almost major attractions along the way, including the picturesque fishing town of Hoi An, the former Imperial capital of Hue, the scenic coastal area of Nha Trang, the vibrant metropolis of Saigon and so on. You will have chances to meet a multitude of people from farmers to ethnic hill tribes as well as a host of smiling children en route. Train conditions will vary but the most parts will be of decent standards.

There are various companies assuring this line. Tulico, Ratraco, Royal, King Express and Pumpkin. All offer similar accomodations and the same type of services. For this ride, we warmly recommend you take the night train.
*** There is also possibility to travel aboard the luxurious Victoria cars, but to travel aboard them, you must stay at least one night at the Victoria Sa Pa Resort!
