Day 01 : Arrival in Hanoi

Welcome to Vietnam. Vietlanddiscovery’s guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you toVietnam’s capital, Hanoi. Nothing was planned for to day, allowing you to rest after a long  flight.

Day 02 : Hanoi sightseeing (B)

On the second day you will visit the most notable cultural sites recensed in Hanoi, known to be one of the most charming city in South-East Asia.

You will see Indochina General Governor ex-palace, « Uncle Ho » home on stilts, nestled in a beautiful botanical garden as well as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the one pillar pagoda, build in 1049 and still one of Hanoi’s most prominents symbols.

You will then head for the Temple of Litterature. Founded in 1070, it was the first Vietnamese university. In the ethnological museum, inaugurated by Jacques Chirac in partnership with Paris’s « Musée des Arts Premiers » you will get acquainted with Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. In the museum’s botanical park you will visit some traditional houses from different tribes.

You will then stroll around Hoan Kiem lake and walk over the famous red bridge to reach Ngoc Son temple. To end to day, you will attend the renowned water puppet performance. This traditional show,UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, illustrates life in the rice paddies and brings back to life the country’s thousands of year old culture.

Day 03: Hanoi- Halong (B)

3hr drive will take you to world known Ha Long bay for 24hr cruise. Spend the afternoon to cruise around 3000 limestone pinnacles piercing the emerald water of Gulf of Tonkin. Halong is one of Vietnam’s most incredible natural wonders that proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

- 12h00             : Check in Pelican and Image Cafe on Tuan Chau Island

- 12h30- 13h00 : Transfer to Image boat by tender

- 13h00- 13h15 : Welcomed on boat and meeting operation manager

- 13h30- 14h30 : Lunch on boat

- 15h00- 15-45 : Transfer to small bamboo boat to visit Luon cave

- 15h45- 17h00 : Visit Titov Island

- 17h00-18h00  : Continue the cruise until arriving safe place for staying overnight.

- 18h00-19h00  :  Happy hour and Cooking class ( buy two drinks get one free)

- 19h30             : Dinner on boat

- 21h30- 23h00 : Experience squid fishing

Overnight on deluxe junk Image Cruise( shared junk, private cabin with bathroom)

 

Day 04: Ha Long- Hanoi- Hue (B)

- 06h15- 06h45 : Taichi class on sun deck

- 07h00             : Breakfast on boat

- 07h45-08h45  : Visit the Wonder Cave( about 60 mins walk)

- 09h00-09h30  : Check out cabin

- 10h30             : Lunch on boat

- 11h30             : Back to Tuan Chau pier and transfer to Pelican and Image cafe

-12h00             : Meeting up with tour guide and transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue. Meet up with tourguide and driver at Phu Bai airport to transfer to your hotel.

Day 05: Hue sightseeing (B)

You start the day with a boat ride upstream the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda on the riverside, visit the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc , built from 1864-1867 by three thousand soldiers and workers. Afternoon, visit the majestic Imperial Citadel of Hue and finish the day with a walk around Dong Ba market.

Day 06: Hue – Hoi An (B)

Drive to Hoi An from Hue via scenic Ha Van pass, where you can enjoy the spectacular pan aroma of the central coastline from the summit. Stop at Lang Co beach to stretch your legs and walk on the white sand of this peaceful beach. Upon arrival in Da Nang, visit Cham museum and Marble Mountain, watch the stone mason working on beautiful pieces of sculptures then continue on to the ancient town of Hoi An sitting on the bank of very calm Thu Bon River. The rest of the day is free to relax on Cua Dai beach.

Day 07: Hoi An sightseeing (B)

Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular for its eclectic architecture, tailor shop and cafes lining the tiny narrow streets. Some of these streets have remained unchanged for more than a century.

Enjoy the walking tour through the narrow winding streets of an ancient quarter of Hoi An to see Chua Ong pagoda, Chinese Assembly Hall, 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house and the roofed Japanese bridge. End the day with a cruise up Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha pottery village. You will some free time to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the life of this calm, beautiful town goes by.

Day 08: Hoi An- Nha Trang (B)

Transfer to the airport in Da Nang to take flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, meet up with tour guide to transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day to relax on this beautiful calm beach.

Day 09: Nha Trang (B)

Spend the day with your family on the beach to enjoy the sunshine, read your favirite book with a tropical fruit cocktail.

Day 10: Nha Trang bay day (B)

Add some activities in to your day by crusing Nha Trang bay on private boat, do some snorkerling to see amazing colourful coral reef and a stop later to Mun island with option to get on jet ski, banana boat…

Day 11: Nha Trang (B)

Another day to relax in Nha Trang or take a walk along the beach.

Day 12: Nha Trang – Saigon (B)

Boarding flight to Saigon, economic capital of Vietnam. Meet up with tour guide at Tan Son Nhat airport and take you to the reunification palace, the war museum, Notre Dame cathedral and the central post office designed by Gustave Eiffel. You will stroll around Cho Lon market in the chinese quarter and visit Thien Hau pagoda.

Overnight in Saigon.

Day 13: Saigon- Cai be floating market- Vinh Long- Can Tho (B)

Departure from Saigon for Cai Be floating market in the Mekong delta region, highly fertile region thus dubbed " Vietnam’s rice basket". Frequently flooded by Mekong river forces people here use transportation on waterways.

In Cai Be you will visit craft villages then have lunch at Xeo May bonsaïs garden. Your boat will then take you all the way to Hoa Khanh village. Upon landing, you will go for a bicycle ride through the village. Eend the day with a drive to  Can Tho where you spend the night.

Day 14: Can Tho- Cai Rang market- Saigon (B)

A boat trip in the early morning let you witness the live spectacle of Cai Rang floating market. The setting is beautiful : hundreds of merchants on motorized sampans filled with rice, fruits and artisanal products will gather to exchange.

Leaving this agitation behind, you pay a visit to Binh Thuy house and Long Dinh village which famous for its hand woved mats before driving back to Saigon towards the end of the afternoon and settle in your hotel.

Day 15: Departure (B)

Free until transfer to the airport for international flight onward.
